The Pro's Walk:
The next three holes are a nice combination. Most well drive right down the middle of the fairway. It’s a dogleg right.
If long hitter, you can cut the dogleg and get to the green in two. But otherwise, you’re looking at a third shot to the green. The pond in front comes into play for your lay up shot or the second shot to the green.
Some people end up over on the 16th fairway and it might be a way of attacking the green by aiming at the 16th tee box. It might. If you play to the center of the fairway, say hit a drive of 250, you have a long way still into a green with a pond in front.
Most people lay up maybe 100 yards out. Cutting through 16, you still have the pond and the trees, which is pretty dicey.
The Green
This green can be deceiving like the others: it looks flat, but it’s not.
