The Pro's Walk:
Seventh hole is a relatively long par four up hill. Trees on right and out of bounds beyond that. Some trees on left. Pull the drive and you’re in trouble either side. North wind can make this a really long par four.
Drives will typically be short of the upper slope. But if you hit 300 yards, you’re still talking about an uphill fairway and a long iron to the green.
As any golfer dealing with an uphill fairway knows, part of what makes this such a long hole to play is that you won’t get much roll from any shot.
The good news on this hole is that no sand guards the elevated green. Par on this hole is hard to get. This is the first of a few tough holes in a row before the turn.
The Green
The green is sloped in a couple of directions. The back slopes left and right. The front slopes to the fairway, but also bends left and right. Just plain not easy.
