The Pro's Walk:
The Sixth Hole known as the Green Mile. It’s a long par 5. If the pin placement is toward the back of the green and you hit from the blues, you’re looking at 670, 680 yards. Not quite half a mile, but it’s long.
But then, on a typical summer day with the wind from the south in your face, it can feel like a mile. This is one that long hitters can really go after. The line of trees on the left are not really in play. This is definitely a three shot to the green. If you’re a big hitter and you have the wind at your back (which is rare), you might make it to the green in two.
The fairway narrows down as you approach the green, making a long two tricky. The trees on the right have lead second shots and some lay up shots to end up in the pond on the left. In general, the course slopes toward the Republic River and this hole is no different.
The Green
Huge green. Pretty flat, slopes back to front.
