The Pro's Walk:
From the tee, almost every golfer will at least think about cutting over the water to shorten the chip to the green. That's the urge when you see any dogleg. You might want to resist the urge here.
This is a short par four. Large tree and pond on left should convince most hitters to stay to the right. But then, the trees on right are an issue. Most drives end up in the corner opposite the pond tree.
If you’re a big hitter, you can cut over the pond and that tree, but it’s pretty risky. Depending where the pin is, you can still be in a tough spot to clear the bunker and hold the green. If you end up in the center of the green when the pin is to the left, you'll realize that playing your drive right of the dogleg would have given you a better chance to get close to the pin.
The Green
A relatively large green, Number Four is completely guarded up front by bunkers. As a side note, the sand has been redone in all the bunkers this year—that is, unlike some other courses in the area, these are sand traps. The large one on this hole sees a lot of balls
